#About the gig

We’re looking for a Lead Instructor for our UX/UI Bootcamp who is not only passionate about user experience design, but also about sharing his/her knowledge with the next generation of UX/UI designers. The Lead Instructor is someone who has a deep understanding of UX/UI and good development practices gathered from his/her educational journey and real-world experience. You need to be a strong communicator and very patient -- you’ll need to be able to explain abstract concepts to first-time designers.

The Lead instructor will be responsible for:

  • Leading Paris Campus knowledge for UX/UI.

  • Overseeing the whole academic experience of an Ironhack bootcamp (from student selection to graduation)

  • Teaching at our Paris Campus

  • Creating engaging content for our UX/UI Development courses that may include lessons, exercises and/or mini-projects - on top of our existing and comprehensive curriculum :)

  • Managing Teaching Assistants (TA)

  • Screening our prospective students through technical interviews and coding challenges

#Is this you?

  • 5+ years of design experience in the UX/UI industry, preferably in a leadership role

  • Technologies & skills with professional experience:

    • UX/UI design process and design thinking methodology

    • UX/UI best practices

    • UX strategy & research

    • Information Architecture

    • Design patterns and heuristics

    • Strong visual design skills

    • Proficient with Balsamiq, Sketch & InVision

    • Familiar with scalable design systems

    • Usability testing

  • Other skills that would be useful to have:

    • Experience with GV Design Sprints

    • Experience with Flinto

  • Passion for education: although we don’t require previous formal teaching experience, we’re looking for people that enjoy teaching/mentoring others and that are involved in the coding community

  • Experience managing and keeping a team motivated. Can-do attitude and a good sense of humor

  • Great communication skills and an ability to capture people’s attention :)

  • Fluent in both French and English (our material is in English)
